Doctoral Forum

The Doctoral Forum offers an opportunity for PhD candidates in the early or intermediate stages of their doctoral research to present and discuss their ideas or preliminary findings. During and after each presentation, the presenter and the audience will engage in constructive dialogue aimed at providing perspectives, feedback, and suggestions to help refine and strengthen the dissertation project.

An ideal participant can clearly articulate their research vision and address:

1. The significance and relevance of the research question.
2. The rationale for the chosen or proposed methodological approaches.
3. Any existing data or preliminary results that indicate a viable path forward.

We invite PhD students conducting dissertation research in the field of computer security—on any topic relevant to Sicherheit 2026—to submit a concise description of their dissertation project for review by the Doctoral Forum Committee. The description should adhere to a 6-page maximum (i.e., including title, abstract, content, and any references) LNI format as outlined on the GI LNI guidelines page.
